HÀ NỘI — A 490ha safari park is set to be built in the Central Highlands province of Lâm Đồng at a cost of VNĐ1 trillion (US$45 million).
The Central Highlands Wild Animal Preservation Park (Highlands Safari) in Lạc Dương District, not far from Đà Lạt, will house rare animals from around the world that can tolerate the area’s cool weather.
It will be located inside a protected forest and developed as a semi-wildlife park where the animals, while living free, will remain under the park’s care.
Austrian and Singaporean consultants have been hired for the park. A third of the cost will come from the Government and the rest from unidentified investors.
Highlands Safari plans to open by 2020. — VNS
