Tourists to Phan Thiet City in the central province of Binh Thuan must not miss a special destination: sand park Forgotten Land. This is the first sand park in Viet Nam, which has been carved by sculptors from 15 countries all around the world.
The project was implemented in September 2016 and opened to the public in January 2017. Around 30 sand sculptures have been made from over 300 tonnes of natural sand. The sculptures feature figures and places mentioned in legends of Viet Nam and other countries.
The destination, which covers a total area of 1.3ha, has welcomed thousands of tourists. Children visiting the park can make their own sculptures from sand. — VNS
