Thai, have been honoured at the 6th Conference of Mekong River
Literature Awards in Vientiane, Laos.
Author Trang The Hy, one of the region''s leading contemporrary writers,
died on Tuesday at his home in the Cuu Long (Mekong) River Delta City of
Ben Tre Province. He was 91.
Member countries in the Mekong River region including Thailand, Laos,
Cambodia, Myanmar and Viet Nam should build up long-term strategies and
action plans to boost co-operation of river-based tourism in the future.
