Viet Nam''s sprinting queen Vu Thi Huong has decided to withdraw from the
national teamcontesting the upcoming Southeast Asian Games because of
her health.
Sprinter Vu Thi Huong assumed her dominance in short-distance races at
the Southeast Asian Games with a gold medal double, while martial
artists amassed a number of gold medals.
Sprint queen Vu Thi Huong marked her injury comeback
by winning her third gold medal at the National Athletics Championships
which closed in Ha Noi on Tuesday.
Vietnamese athletes will face tough competition at
the 19th HCM City International Track and Field Championships which
starts tomorrow, as countries in the region are sending their best
athletes.
Vietnamese top runner Truong Thanh Hang finished
first on the women''s 800m track in the first stage of the Asian Grand
Prix Athletics in Bangkok on Tuesday.
