HA NOI — A group of internationally renowned chefs will converge in Ha Noi during the first week of October for a culinary extravaganza.

The Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi will host Culinary Stars 2018 from October 1 to 7, bringing together nine international chefs with a combined eight Michelin stars. Four AccorHotels chefs will also join in to take diners on a gastronomic journey rarely experienced in Viet Nam.

This is the first Culinary Stars. It will feature five dinners and five other events including a cooking class, a product launch, a chocolate buffet accompanied by a fashion show, a wine and cheese showcase and a special Sunday brunch.

“The gathering of 13 of the finest chefs from three continents in one of the most historical venues in Ha Noi, a city with one of the great culinary traditions, should be something akin to the perfect storm,” said Metropole general manager William Haandrikman.

Each of the chefs highlighted in this year’s culinary spectacle brings his or her unique flair and cultural influence.

The chefs include three Michelin starred chef Jacques Pourcel of Le Jardin des Sense, two star Thierry Drapeau of Restaurant Thierry Drapeau, two star Patrick Jeffroy of Restaurant Patrick Jeffroy and one star Jean Baptise Natali of La Montagne. All hail from France.
