HA NOI — Nguyen Tran Huyen My, first runner-up of Miss Viet Nam 2014, has captured the front pages of newspapers in Myanmar following the release of the film Bridge of Clouds.
My has been meeting local fans since the film was released on July 8.
The film was produced by one of Myanmar’s leading media companies.
My is paired in the love story with Nay Toe, who won a Myanmar Academy Award in 2009.
In 2015, My accepted an invitation to play a role in The Lover With a Beautiful Heart, aiming to strengthen the friendship between Viet Nam and Myanmar.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the project was shelved. The film’s producer subsequently chose a different script so that My could work with her peers in Myanmar. — VNS
