HA NOI — A concert featuring Baroque compositions will be presented by music company Maestoso on Saturday at Cua Bac Church.
Under the baton of conductor Nguyen Phu Son – co-founder of Maestoso, the Maestoso Armonico Ensemble will perform the Baroque Concert Series No 1, featuring many established and emerging musicians in Viet Nam.
Also in the concert, Maestoso will present the Asian premiere of the Overture in G Minor by Italian composer Giuseppe Antonio Brescianello.
The repertoire will also feature Violin concerto Op 3 No 6 in a-minor RV. 356 by Antonio Lucio Vivaldi, Cembalo concerto no.7 in g-minor BWV.1058 by Johann Sebastien Bach and suite from the opera Dardanus by Jean-Philippe Rameau.
The concert will start at 8.30pm. Cua Bac Church is at 56 Phan Dinh Phung Street.
Founded in 2017 by Duong Vu Minh, Nguyen Duc Anh, Nguyen Phu Son and Luu Duc Anh, who have all studied abroad at famous international universities of music, Maestoso aims to make classical music accessible to Vietnamese audiences while maintaining the highest standards of quality. — VNS
