HA NOI — A concert featuring Vietnamese music alongside Grammy award-winning conductor Jeff Von Der Schmidt will take place at the small Concert Hall of the Viet Nam National Academy of Music tomorrow night.
Entitled Suy Tu Trang Dong (Thoughts of the Winter Moon), the night will present works by Nguyen Thien Dao, Vu Nhat Tan, Nguyen Minh Nhat, and the group Dong Kinh Co Nhac (The Ancient Music Group of Tonkin)
The night will open with a performance by The Ancient Music Group of Tonkin, featuring artists on dan day (plucked lute), dan nhi (bowed two-string instrument), and dan tranh (16-string zither).
