HCM CITY — Twenty-four restaurants in Viet Nam will take part in the third annual Goût de France in HCM City on March 21.
The restaurants, which include Annamite, Cobalt, Ecole Vatel Saigon and L’Olivier of Sofitel Saigon Plaza, will serve healthy meals with dishes using less fat, sugar and salt.
The event, which brings together more than 2,000 chefs worldwide in different locations to celebrate French gastronomy, will also feature students at French culinary schools in HCM City and France.
They will prepare an authentic French dinner with canapes, entrees, main courses, cheese, desserts and wine.
Organised by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this year’s event will focus on training in restaurants, hotels and tourism.
Sixty high school students will be invited to the event to learn about training offered by schools in HCM City and France. They will have an opportunity to meet alumni of the schools who studied courses in cooking and hospitality management in France.
The event will be held at the Residence of France at 6 Le Duan Street in District 1. — VNS
