HA NOI — Nearly 300 representatives of embassies, NGOs, travel companies and foreign organisations have joined a ‘Spring Trip of Friendship’ to Ba Vi District, on the outskirts of Ha Noi.
The progamme was hosted on Saturday by Ha Noi Department of Tourism and the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organisation to boost ties between Viet Nam and foreign organisations.
Diplomats and foreign officers had a chance to visit Trung Temple on Ba Vi Mountain where Tan Vien God of Mountain, one among the Four Immortals of Viet Nam, is worshipped.
Deputy Head of Mission Maciej Duszynski of the Polish Embassy in Ha Noi arrived in Viet Nam a week ago, so everything is new for him.
“I think the trip is a good chance for diplomats and foreigners working in Viet Nam to understand more about the local culture and strengthen the friendship with the local people,” he said.
“Ba Vi Mountain is an important and holy place in Vietnamese people’s spiritual life so it’s good to see the site. The Trung Temple is also a beautiful architecture.”
Phung Quang Thang, vice chairman of the Viet Nam Society of Travel Agents, said the trip was a good initiative to enhance mutual understanding between Viet Nam and foreign partners.
“I expect that the programme will be held more regularly to promote tourism and culture of Viet Nam to expats.” — VNS
