NINH THUẬN – An exhibition highlighting outstanding social and economic achievements of the central province of Ninh Thuận has opened in Phan Rang - Tháp Chàm City.
The event welcomes the 14th Party Congress of the province in the 2020-25 term and the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Việt Nam in 2021.
The exhibition consists of more than 200 images and objects focusing on achievements in the economy, society, national defense and security since 1992.
Hồ Sĩ Sơn, director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: “The showcase introduces the strong development of the province over the years to local people and visitors.”
“The event is expected to be an attraction for young people and students to learn about the province’s history during the summer,” he added.
The exhibition also showcases the province’s potential in solar and wind energy, hi-tech agriculture, and tourism.
Sơn said through the showcase, the province is expected to call for investment in these fields, which are key factors for the province’s development today and in the future.
At the exhibition, the organisers have displayed a collection of sketches from the revolutionary period, borrowed from the HCM City Fine Arts Museum.
The collection features pencil, watercolour and charcoal works created by soldier-painters from the south, such as Trang Phượng, Thái Hà, Võ Xưởng, and Huỳnh Phương Đông, during the resistance war against the Americans.
The artworks depict historic events, soldiers on the battlefield, people engaged in daily activities, and beautiful landscapes.
The exhibition will be open at the Museum of Ninh Thuận Province through September. -- VNS
