HA NOI — An exhibition connecting various contemporary photographers curated by Singaporean photographer Zhuang Wubin is ongoing in Ha Noi.
The exhibition features work by Le Xuan Phong, Maai Faam, Nguyen Uyen Minh, Quynh Lam, Do Manh Cuong, Hoang Nguyen, Nam Nghiem and Hoang Minh Trang.
Since 2013, Wubin has conducted four photo project workshops in Viet Nam. Over the years, many of the workshop participants have kept in touch.
On the theme of this exhibition, Wubin wishes to highlight the centrality of desire in making art. Without desire, it is impossible to make compelling work. Without the temptation of desires, there will not be risks taken, boundaries crossed. Without desire, the work loses its intimacy. In this way, desire informs the selected works here.
The exhibition Love and Desire will run until August 12 at Puppets Cafe, 27/189 Giang Vo Street, Ha Noi. — VNS
