HA NOI — A wine tasting and fundraising ceremony was held by Nguyễn Việt Loan, chairperson of Journeys to the East, to support the Blue Dragon Children Foundation in their fight against child trafficking.
Loan was confirmed Honorary Consul of Uruguay in HCM City, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the ceremony last Friday in Hà Nội.
Highlighting the event was the auctioning of Bùi Hữu Hùng’s lacquer paining of a 16-year-old girl in traditional country address for US$15,000.
The event raised a total of $22,000 by the end of the night.
Loan, who has a lot of business experiences during her 25 years abroad, has returned to Việt Nam to invest in tours to Asian and European countries. — VNS
