HA NOI — South Korean dancers will debut a performance entitled Look Back into Love – Orpheo at the Au Co Theatre in Ha Noi tomorrow.

Dancers from the Seoul Arts Performing Company (SPAC) will perform the piece which was choreographed in 2007.

The dance tells the contemporary love story of two young dancers, who have fallen out of love and are faced with splitting up. They look back on their romance from the beginning until love finally returns to them once again.

The performance mixes reality and myth in a combination of emotive melodies and dances that include traditional Korean, contemporary and jazz moves.

SPAC was established on August 1, 1986, with the founding ideal of dressing the indigenous Korean performing arts in new attire and promoting them around the world.

Its talented members have created numerous productions including musicals and traditional Korean songs and dances.

Many members have been awarded top prizes at the Korean National Musical Awards as well as a variety of dance awards.

SPAC performances have been staged at several high profile events such as the Asian Games, Seoul Olympics and Winter Asian Games.

Regular international tours to Asia, South America, North America, Europe and Africa have helped global audiences to better understand Korean culture and performing arts.

The show will begin at 7:30pm at the Au Co Theatre, 8 Huynh Thuc Khang Street. Invitations are available for members of the Korean Cultural Centre only. — VNS
