On Saturday, from 8pm to 11pm, Viet Nam’s leading improvised and experimental music composer Vu Nhat Tan and American cellist Peter Jacobson will team up for a music night at Tranquil Book Cafe, 5 Nguyen Quang Bich Street.
It will be an interactive musical event between the two artists, between a cello and a piano, and between the two artists and the audience.
A young cellist from Los Angeles, Jacobson performs different genres from classic to modern music to jazz, Latino and improvisations. He will mix with Tan’s piano, also ranging from acoustic to experimental and sounds.
The night also welcomes audience members who bring their own instruments and play along with the artists in the second part of the programme. — VNS
