HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam Red Cross Society (VNRC) has launched a campaign to mobilise financial support to help northern people overcome the consequences of Typhoon Yagi.
The VNRC called for direct support or through online platforms from the local and international communities for aid.
Individuals, organisations and business are being offered ways they can get, or offer help:

3. Receive direct cash and goods donations (including necessities and other consumer products) at the Association's Central headquarters, 82 Nguyễn Du, Hai Bà Trưng District, Hà Nội, or representative agencies South, No. 201 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai, District 1, HCM City.
Help is also on hand at the district post office network headquarters in 12 localities: Hải Phòng, Quảng Ninh, Yên Bái, Bắc Giang, Lạng Sơn, Thái Nguyên, Cao Bằng, Bắc Kạn, Sơn La, Lào Cai, Phú Thọ and Tuyên Quang.
The VNRC said that the campaign already has more than 2,000 pledges of support from domestic and foreign organisations and individuals, with contributions reaching nearly VNĐ4 billion. All of the money will be used to support relief and reconstruction activities for people in the storm-hit areas and delivered transparently and effectively.

Immediately after the storm passed, the VNRC provided emergency support to nearly 900 households in Quảng Ninh province and Hải Phòng City, delivering more than VNĐ720 million in cash and essential goods.
So far, the society has provided initial support, worth VNĐ5.5 billion, to more than 5,700 households, equivalent to nearly 23,000 people affected by Typhoon Yagi and post-storm floods across ten provinces and cities. — VNS
