HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội topped the National Petanque Championship in Bạc Liêu on Thursday for the second time in a row.
Nguyễn Văn Dũng won gold for the team in the men's singles event after beating Huỳnh Công Tâm of Trà Vinh in the final. He also earned a silver medal in the men's doubles with teammate Nguyễn Văn Thanh.
Hà Nội also grabbed silvers in the women's doubles through Nguyễn Thị Hiền and Nguyễn Thị Thi and women's singles through Nguyễn Thị Hiền. The team also took a bronze medal in the women's trio event.
Trà Vinh came second with one gold and two silvers, while Sóc Trăng were third with one gold and one silver.
The tournament was considered a test for national players. The best players will be selected to compete with the national team at the upcoming Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines in November. — VNS
