HÀ NỘI HCM City triumphed at the National Team Chess Championships which wrapped over the weekend, winning seven gold and two silver medals.
In the standard chess event, HCM City won three golds in the men’s team, women’s team and mixed team events.
In the rapid event, HCM City also triumphed in the men’s and women’s team competitions.
On the final day of competition, HCM City claimed two golds in the blitz event.
Hà Nội were only able to secure gold in the mixed doubles rapid event, while Bắc Giang won gold in the women’s team blitz.
The annual tournament attracted more than 230 players from 18 teams across the country.
The top players will be selected for the national teams to compete in upcoming international events. VNS
