HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese teenager Nguyễn Anh Minh temporally topped the Taiwan Amateur Golf Championship after the third round on April 11 in Kaohsiung City.
The 17-year-old began a brilliant day with a birdie put on the first while two golfers from Taiwan in his group could only manage bogies.
Minh parred the next eight holes before the break. On the back nine, Minh shot a second birdie at the tenth to lead before eight straight pars to end the day two under with a round of 70.
After three rounds, Minh tops the leader board with one under.
Cheng-Wei Hsieh of the host hosts (three over) and Jiradech Chaowarat of Thailand (four over 220) are behind Minh.
Lê Chúc An of Việt Nam at the Taiwan Amateur Golf Championship's third rounds.
In the women's event, Lê Chúc An of Việt Nam played better than her two previous round. She scored 77, five over par on April 11. Overall she is in 23rd place.
Top three were South Korean Kim Shihyun (one over), Chen Yu-Chu of Taiwan (two over) and Kiwi Amy Im (five over). VNS
