HA NOI — Sanna Khanh Hoa defeated Becamex Binh Duong 3-0 in the 12th round of the V.League 1 yesterday.
Although playing away at Go Dau Stadium in the southern province of Binh Duong, Khanh Hoa controlled the game from the opening whistle.
After a long shot from Quoc Thanh, Pham Trum Tinh scored the opener for the visitors in the 16th minute.
After that, the visitors kept the pressure on the hosts but they failed to score again in the opening period.
After the break, Binh Duong fought back strongly and looked to level the score.
In the 53rd minute however, Khanh Hoa counter-attacked and Tinh doubled the score for the visitors.
In extra time, Youssouf Toure killed the last efforts of Binh Duong with a goal to leave the score 3-0 to Khanh Hoa.
At Can Tho Stadium in the southern province of Can Tho, HCM City were held to a 1-1 draw with Can Tho.
HCM City played very confidently but conceded in the first half. However, via Quang Nam’s assist, Hai Anh levelled the score for HCM City in the early minutes of the second half.
The two teams then created many chances to score again but they couldn’t convert.
Elsewhere, FLC Thanh Hoa lost to Hai Phong 0-2 and Da Nang beat Nam Dinh 4-2.
Ha Noi top the table with 29 points, followed by Quang Ninh Coal with 21 points and Hai Phong with 19 points. — VNS
