HA NOI — The first Mekong Delta Marathon Hau Giang 2019 will be organised on April 21 in Vi Thanh City in Hau Giang Province, aiming to raise awareness of climate change.
More than 1,500 athletes have registered to run on four different routes.
At a press briefing on March 7 in HCM City, the organisers said participants would have the chance to enjoy the delta’s amazing scenery and culture during the run.
Music and dance perfomances will also be held to entertain runners.
All cash collected from the event will be donated to local funds for the poor and help people who suffer from climate change.
