Minh wins stage, Kritsada leads tournament

HA NOI — Brothers Le Nguyet Minh and Le Van Duan came first and second in the eighth round of the VTV International Cycling Tournament, Ton Hoa Sen Cup, yesterday.

Minh finished a short stage of 24 laps, 50km round Tam Ky City of Quang Nam Province, with a timing of 1 hour and 12.43 minutes. His older brother Duan was just a hair’s gap later than him.

The result helped Duan keep his green jersey for the best cyclist.

After eight stages, Changpad Kritsada of Thailand maintained his position as the tour leader with a total timing of 21:33.08 seconds.

Philippine Navy topped the team ranking.

The ninth stage of 170km is from Quang Ngai to Quay Nhon City today. — VNS
