HA NOI — Men’s football teams at the South East Asian (SEA) Games 2019 will consist of 21 U22 players and two overage players, the organisers have announced.
The majority of each squad at the biennial event in the Philippines this November will consist of players born on or after January 1, 1997, (22 years of age and below) and two born before this date.
As a result, Vietnamese footballers like striker Nguyen Cong Phuong, midfielder Luong Xuan Truong, goalkeeper Dang Van Lam who are 24 and 25, or even veteran Nguyen Anh Duc, 33, could compete.
