HA NOI — Jutatip Maneepham triumphed in the sixth stage of the Binh Duong International Women’s Cycling Tournament – Biwase Cup 2019 on Wednesday.
The Thai cyclist won the 107km stage from Phan Rang-Thap Cham City of Ninh Thuan Province to the city of Phan Thiet in Binh Thuan Province, which she competed with a time of 2:39.43 and an average speed of 40.196 km/h.
Lee Eunhee and Lee Joohee of South Korea’s Samyang finished second and third.
Tsubasa Makise of the hosts Biwase Binh Duong suffered mechanical issues but still reached the finish line in the top 10 and kept the award for the “Queen of the Mountain” category with 76 points.
Japanese cyclist Kashiki Shoko maintained the yellow jersey with the best overall time after six stages. The other titles were unchanged: Thai Maneepham kept the green jersey as the best sprinter and Nguyen Thi Kim Cuong of Can Tho held the white jersey as the best young cyclist.
Japan, Samyan and Biwase Binh Duong top the team rankings.
Today, the cyclists will complete 18 laps around Phan Thiet’s city centre. — VNS
