HA NOI — FLC Thanh Hoa have signed Le Van Thang from Hai Phong on loan for the second leg of the national premier league, the club’s chairman Doan Van Phuong has confirmed.
The national team striker has six months left on his contract with the northern side, with Thanh Hoa reportedly paying a large fee for just half a year of service.
The 27-year-old was the top Vietnamese scorer in the last two seasons. In 2015, he scored 16 goals, second only to top scorer Tambwe Patiyo of Quang Nam by two goals. In 2016, he bagged 11.
According to Phuong, Thang will help Thanh Hoa achieve their goal of winning this year’s title.
Besides signing Thang, Thanh Hoa are searching for one more midfielder.
At present, Thanh Hoa rank second out of 14 teams in the league with 23 points, behind Ha Noi T&T on goal difference. — VNS
