HCM CITY — The HCM City Disability Research and Capacity Development (DRD) Centre will organise a music show on September 21 at District 1’s VOH Music One to raise funds for the Nguoi Ban Dong Hanh Scholarship for people with disabilities who have financial difficulties.
Singer, artists, and people with disabilities will attend the show, including Thuy Tien Trinh, Ngoc Mai, Ha Van Dong, Phuong Dung and others.
The scholarships for college and university attendance will allow the recipients access to training in soft skills and teamwork. The students will also have opportunities to meet others and become more confident about integrating into society.
Since 2008, when the fund was established, a total of 388 people have received scholarships that cover tuition for the entire length of study at either colleges or universities. —VNS
