HA NOI — Artist couple Anh Tu and Viet Dung will hold a concert featuring South Korean folk and modern music pieces at the Ha Noi Opera House on September 30.

The concert, titled Forever, comprises five parts, giving audiences a chance to discover Korean music through songs from the movies. The artists will also perform popular songs and music pieces from famous television series and motion pictures.

Korean folk song Arirang, often considered the unofficial national anthem of South Korea, and songs from the Dea Jang Geum series and The King and the Clown and Bridal Mask will open the concert.

The musicians will play pieces of Trot music, regarded as the origin of K-pop, during the latter part of the night. The concert will also see performances of romantic songs from popular series’ Glass Shoes, Winter Sonata and Forever and Star in My Heart

In addition, South Korean pop songs and Vietnamese song Noi Vong Tay Lon (Great Circle of Viet Nam) will be performed at the concert. The musicians are teachers from the Viet Nam National Academy of Music (VNAM) and artists of the Viet Nam National Symphony and Orchestra.

After Ha Noi the concert will be held in Seoul in December to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Viet Nam and South Korea (1992-2017).

Forever concert producers include music director Anh Tu, art director Viet Dung and choreographer Thanh Nam.
