HCM CITY — Sai Gon and its people are featured in a new painting exhibition at the HCM City Museum of Fine Arts.
The event, Hem Va Nhung Mien Ky Uc (Alleys and Memories), displays 47 paintings in lacquer, oil and collage by a group of five artists.
The works feature the history, culture and lifestyle of Sai Gon. Old buildings, traditional festivals and street vendors are also highlighted.
Artists Mai Nam, Nam Anh, Nguyen Duy Nhut, Thong Nguyen and Nguyen Thanh Thuy have spent several years capturing images of daily life of the Saigonese.
The exhibition opens from 9am to 6pm from Tuesday to Sunday at 97A Pho Duc Chinh Street at the museum in District 1. It closes on December 21. — VNS
