Free Your Voice is a fun workshop that combines singing, meditation, breathing techniques and vocal games.
HÀ NỘI A fun workshop combining singing, meditation, breathing techniques and vocal games will take place at Hanoi Social Club on Thursday.
Conducted by singer-songwriter William Trevelyan, the all-in-one session named Free Your Voice is a blend of contemporary and traditional vocal techniques. Since Trevelyan left the UK to travel in 2016, he has taken Free Your Voice to everywhere he's visited.
His workshop begins with meditation, extends into a shamanic Om chant which is a very useful vocal warm-up, and followed by vocal games, jamming and circle singing.
Free Your Voice inspires vocal confidence in every individual, promotes a sense of community awareness, and most importantly, celebrates music. Everyone is welcome to join in this circle to embrace their voice and connect with other human beings.
The workshop will take place from 11am to 12.30pm. Hanoi Social Club is located at 6 Hội Vũ Street.
Fee: donation-based. All donations will go to the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation – a charity that helps street kids and kids with disabilities, and rescues kids from slavery and human trafficking in Việt Nam. VNS
