HA NOI — Eighty artworks conveying the unique personalities and styles of 40 contemporary Vietnamese artists are on display at the exhibition Listen, Watch and Tell.

The exhibition gathers work in various styles and materials by a wide range of artists, including Dao Anh Khanh, Le Anh Van, Le Quy Tong, Le Thong, Lieu Nguyen Huong Duong, Lim Khim Katy, Nguyen The Hung, and Vu Dinh Tuan.

The exhibition marks a 20-year milestone for Ha Noi Studio and is intended to showcase the development of Vietnamese contemporary fine arts, according to Duong Thu Hang, owner of Ha Noi Studio.

Since opening two decades ago, Ha Noi Studio has contributed to developing the fine arts market, promoting domestic artworks to the world and offering a space for artists to create and exchange ideas.

Artist Vu Dinh Tuan who is known for silk paintings and wood-blocks, said Ha Noi Studio is more than a gallery. It inspires artists and provides them a platform to introduce their works to the public.

Tuan introduced two paintings at the exhibition, including Peacock in Love and Silently Waiting for Flower Blooming. These silk paintings were displayed in the US in September.

“We invite people to watch the paintings, installation art and sculptures, and then they will listen to the artists who tell their stories, inspiration and concerns of life,” Hang said.

The exhibition will run until December 10 at the Exhibition House, 29 Hang Bai Street, Ha Noi. — VNS
