Italian a capella group Mezzotono to perform in HCM City

HCM CITY — The Italian a capella group Mezzotono will perform in HCM City on Tuesday as part of its “Mad in Italy” Vietnam Tour 2019 organised by Amberstone Media in co-operation with the Consulate General of Italy in HCM City.

The five-member group will sing pop, jazz, bossa nova and tango a capella (without instruments). 

The group's musicians Luigi Nardiello, Fabio Lepore, Daniela Desideri, Tanya Pugliese and Alessandro Gnolfo work as lecturers in choir for music schools and institutes. They have also worked with well-known singers and musicians on stage and in the studio.

The group has also performed in concerts and music festivals in more than 50 countries, including one appearance in Hà Nội in 2014.

In HCM City, the group will sing famous Italian songs such as Mambo Italiano, Quando quando and La Città di Pulcinella. Their hits, including Balletto Barese, Siv siv siv and Cime di Rape, will also be highlighted. 

Hồ Trên Núi (Lake on Mountain), a Vietnamese folk contemporary song by musician Phó Đức Phương, will also be performed.

The group said it was excited and eager to learn about Vietnamese people and culture.  

Mezzotono will perform at 8pm on November 19 at the Soul Live Project Complex on 216 Pasteur Street in District 3.
