Aussie performers arrive in HCM City

HCM CITY — Australian members of a performing arts troupe will entertain young audiences in HCM City as part of a cultural exchange programme between the performers and the HCM City Circus Troupe.

The performers of the Carnival of the Divine Imagination, a leading Brisbane-based troupe, will stage circus, dance and fire art performances for free on June 15.

The troupe, which has appeared in Australia and other countries in Southeast Asia, will act out enchanting, exciting stories set in a world of dreams and hopes.

Children will be able to learn about different cultures through the performances.

One of the highlights includes Elixia, a story about two boys who embark on adventures in a search for the real values of life.

The stage will be equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment.

The performance will also include puppets and stimulating visual imagery.

Members of the city's circus troupe will participate in the event with a show of beautiful puppets clothed in colourful costumes.

After the performance, Australian and Vietnamese actors will talk about their experiences in an aim to learn more about each other's culture and arts.

The show will be staged at 7pm tomorrow at the city's circus arena located in the 23/9 Park on Nguyen Trai Street in District 1. Tickets, which are free, can be obtained at the theatre in advance or at the door. — VNS
