HA NOI — Can Tho cyclists shone in the eighth stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Tournament yesterday.
Le Quoc Vu and Huynh Hoang Phuc of Can Tho finished first and second respectively in the 162km stage from Quang Binh to Hue City. Vu triumphed with a time of 3:58.06.
Can Tho also won the team race, their first win in the 30 stage event. Military Zone 7 lead overall.
Despite not being in top three of this stage, Huynh Thanh Tung of the Military Zone 7 retained the yellow jersey for the best overall time after eight stages.
Le Nguyet Minh of HCM City-Minh Giang holds the green jersey for best sprinter, while Nguyen Cuong Khang of VUS-HCM City has the white jersey for best young cyclist.
