HA NOI — Twenty men’s and women’s teams will take part in the National Volleyball Championships which are scheduled to start on April 3.
The first round will take place in Bac Ninh Province (Group A) and Ninh Binh (Group B) from April 3-7; the second round and finals will be held in Long An Province from October 6 to 20.
According to the Viet Nam Volleyball Federation’s general secretary, Le Tri Truong, one team will be relegated and one team promoted this season.
The annual event has total prize money of VND436 million (US$18,950), of which the winners will walk away with VND100 million ($4,350).
The event’s top players will be selected for the national team to compete in upcoming international events including the Southeast Asian Games to be held in the Philippines this November. — VNS
