HÀ NỘI — The northern mountainous province of Hà Giang will host the first off-road motor race for both motorbikes and at in the UNESCO-recognised Đồng Văn Karst Global Geopark.
The event will be held on April 28 - 30, in the pine hill area of Lao Chải Commune and Yên Minh Town in Yên Minh District.
Participants will include both professional and amateur racers from home and abroad. They will compete in motor control demonstrations, natural terrain conditions, time trials, adventure tracks as well as take part in exchanges.
The winner in the professional category will receive VNĐ150 million, while the runners-up will get VNĐ75 million and VNĐ30 million.
The event is held by the provincial Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, the Yên Minh district People’s Committee and the International Franchise JSC.
It is a chance for Hà Giang to promote its tourism, culture and landscapes. — VNS
