HÀ NỘI — As many as 200 people representing 14 ethnic minority groups in Việt Nam will join in various activities at the Village of Culture - Tourism of ethnic groups in Việt Nam between November 18 and 23.
The programme is in the framework of the Week for Consolidating the People and Vietnamese Culture Heritage.
The opening gala night will be a chance for ethnic groups to showcase their heritages that need preserving and developing.
There will be a scientific workshop on mass media and the preservation and development of ethnic cultural values, building tourism product in the village; and a forum on the youth with the task of consolidating ethnic groups and cultural heritages.
The event will also feature an exhibition on tourism products in the southern province of Bến Tre and performances of hát sắc bùa (folk singing) from Bến Tre Province.
Various traditional ceremonies of Tày and Nùng ethnic minority groups will be organised as well.
The village is located in Đồng Mô, Sơn Tây District, 40km west of central Hà Nội. — VNS
