HA NOI — Nearly 200 competitors took part in the National Teenagers Weightlifting Championship which started at the National Sports Training Centre in Ha Noi on Thusday.
They competed in two age groups of 13 to 14 and 15 to 16 for both boys and girls in various weight categories.
According to Nguyen Manh Hung, director of Ha Noi based- National Sports Training Centre, it was the first time the event had attracted the most players. It proved that weightlifting movement developed fast across the country.
The event was co-ordinated by the Viet Nam Weightlifting & Bodybuilding Federation and National Sports Training Centre.
It will conclude on April 9. — VNS
