HCM CITY — Two photo exhibitions on HCM City’s development mark the 43rd anniversary of the National Reunification Day (April 30) and the 132nd anniversary of International Labour Day (May 1).
The exhibition Thanh Pho Ho Chi Minh – Khat Vong Vuon Cao (HCM City – Aspiration for Development) on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in District 1 displays 88 photos.
The photos feature soldiers and residents of the Central Highlands and southern region during the resistance war that liberated the country.
On display include images of HCM City’s economic, social and cultural development after 43 years of liberation.
The exhibition Phat Huy Truyen Thong Yeu Nuoc cua Giai Cap Cong Nhan trong Su Nghiep Cong Nghiep Hoa, Hien Dai Hoa (Promoting Workers’s Patriotism for the National Industrialisation and Modernisation Cause) includes 120 photos of the city’s workers during the resistance war.
It also presents photos about the daily life of workers in the city, as well as social and cultural activities launched by the city’s Labour Confederation.
The photos can be seen along Dong Khoi Street and in Chi Lang Park and the Labour Cultural Palace in District 1.
Both exhibitions end on May 2. — VNS
