HA NOI — The music group Dong Kinh Co Nhac (The Ancient Music of Tonkin) will introduce their concert Music from the Ancient Time on Saturday.
Part of the Old Quarter’s Musical Story programme, initiated and conducted by Vietnamese improvised and experimental composer Vu Nhat Tan, the concert will take place at the Cultural Exchange Centre of the Old Quarter at 50 Dao Duy Tu Street.
Artists and artisans of the group will present traditional sounds, introducing precious heritage of Vietnamese traditional music culture.
The unique music of Vietnamese spiritual culture such as chanting tone, Zen poetry and singing of the Mother Goddesses worshipping will be performed together with other genres of traditional music.
The free entry concert will start at 8pm. — VNS
