DA NANG — A photo exhibition themed “Sea with our view”, will display a collection of 95 photos depicting the sea, the lifestyles of seamen and fishing villages in Viet Nam at the city’s Fine Arts Museum on October 19-26.
The exhibition, which features a collection of works by local photographer My Dung, depicts different angles of life and culture in rural fishing areas from Mong Cai town in Quang Ninh province to Ca Mau.
My Dung, 60, who was born in a fishing village in Son Tra peninsula, spent time recording the image of local fishermen and traditional culture of fishing villages as well as the natural beauty of ocean and beaches.
Dung also opened his own cafe in an installation decoration space with warnings on traffic accidents and a celebration of safe driving.
The exhibition, free for visitors, will open at 78 Le Duan street.
Visitors will also enjoy touring the museum’s different paintings, stone and wood sculpture works and crafts.
It has become one of popular cultural destinations for tourists after the Cham Sculpture Museum and the Da Nang Museum. — VNS
