HA NOI — A photo exhibition in Ha Noi is celebrating 60 years of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Romania.

Nearly 100 colour and black-and-white images depict cultural exchanges and diplomatic meetings between the authorities of the two countries as well as the natural sights, architecture and culture of Romania.

The images capture such meaningful moments in history of bilateral relations as official visits to Romania by President Ho Chi Minh, Party General Secretary Le Duan and Prime Minister Pham Van Dong.

"Through these pictures, our friendly tradition of ties and bilateral co-operation are reflected in all areas, including politics, commerce, culture and education," said Romanian Ambassador to Viet Nam Dumitru Olaru.

"The exhibition aims to deliver a message of hope that Romania-Viet Nam relations will continue to build on the existing firm foundation to strengthen and grow," he said.

The exhibition will run through next Monday at Exhibition House, 29 Hang Bai Street, Ha Noi. — VNS
